Oh yeah, the Christmas drawing for my boyfriend! I hope he'll like it when he gets it at Monday!
I'm happy to see this one finished, it was a hell doing it. Surprisingly it was the making of the geometric figures that was the hardest part, not the colouring, just the drawing. Never. Again
It's a kind of continuation of the cover from Muse's latest album The Resistance (I btw have a t-shirt with the same picture, just to show off)
Materials: A piece of black cardboard, white paper, glue, a scissor, a stanley knife, colour pencils, a Staedtler pigment liner, white paint and different brushes.
Procedure: I started to make a sketch on the white paper. Then I coloured the Earth and the figures and finished off with the little black man. I cut out all the figures but without ruining the rest of the paper. In that way I had a kind of frame I then used when I glued the pieces on the cardboard. In that way the pieces ended up the exact same place as on the white paper. I put the piece on pressure over the night and the next day I painted the stars. I found the Earth, that still was on the white paper and painted clouds on it. When the paint was dry I cut it out and glued it to the cardboard.
Time: About 4-5 hours
